Running Y Ranch has lots to offer Residents
Let me tell you a little bit about where I live: living here at the Running Y Ranch is an exciting place to be there is so much to do and see you'll think you're on vacation every day. The resort's exceptionally mild climate and 300 days of sunshine add up to a four-season recreational paradise.
As a resident, you are provided complimentary access to the Sports Center, featuring an indoor pool, hot tub and sauna, regularly scheduled fitness classes, basketball court, tennis courts, sand volleyball court and more. The Bill Collier Community Ice Arena, situated at the resort’s entrance, offers open and family recreational skating, skate rentals, hockey leagues, lessons, programs and events.
Running Y Ranch is home to the only Arnold Palmer designed golf course in Oregon. Golf Digest consistently rates it a Top 100 US Public Course, Top 15 in Oregon and Top 5 in the US for Women.
Among the 3,600 acres of Running Y Ranch, you have many options. Try a hike along the ridge tops, along the shores of Upper Klamath Lake, out into the marshes that surround the property, and of course into the Skillet Handle — a unique 2.5 miles long peninsula, covered in lovely woods of Western white oak, ponderosa pine and juniper, with a meandering forest trail that leads to an incredible view of the vast beauty of Klamath Lake.
No need to go into town for breakfast, lunch, or dinner the Ruddy Duck is a rustic yet contemporary setting, offering floor-to-ceiling windows and views, with an expansive patio overlooking The Arnold Palmer Signature Course and surrounding beauty. During the summer months it's so relaxing to sit out on the patio with your favorite beverage and enjoy the view. The name, Ruddy Duck, pays homage to one of our favorite aquatic birds commonly found at the Resort and Upper Klamath Lake, you might even see a bald eagle if you're lucky enough.
